some other time

When we arrived home on Sunday from our quick weekend trip, the sun was shining and the temperature was just right, so we thought it would be a great idea to take Sofia to the park. Well, by the time we reached our destination (which was approximately 3-5 minutes away) the temp seemed to have dropped to 20 below. Families were quickly returning to their vehicles because it was too cold to play outside! I managed to get one picture of Sofia at the top of the slide and then she was ready to go home. Park fun will have to wait for another day.

This past weekend we went to Atlanta to celebrate Grammie's birthday. Sofia enjoyed spending time with her cousins and we were able to keep them still for a hot minute to take a quick pic.

Snow Day (Part 2)

Well, by the time the snowfall was all over, we had about 10-12 inches of snow of the ground. I went outside to get a few pictures before the temperatures climbed to above freezing and it all melted away.

Our neighbor's snowman. They (two brothers) also built a fort facing our house and Steven is convinced they built it to bombard him with snowballs.

Snow Day!!!

Amazingly, we have had about 8 inches of snow fall today!!! It started at about 3:15am and has snowed nonstop! Sofia and I chanted long and loud "no school, no school!" and at about 6am we got the call that it had been cancelled - yippee!! How's that for an educator teaching her child the importance of education. Oh well, we have to make it up. Steven didn't go to work either so we all stayed in and couldn't wait to bundle up Sofia to see what she thought about the white stuff. Here are a few pics of the day.........

January 28th 2010 - Happy Birthday Sofia!
