~Birthday Fun!!!~

This weekend we celebrated sweet Tori's 2-year birthday party at The Little Gym. Sofia had a blast and LOVED being around all the kids!

The Little Gym has fun bubbles!!!

"Which one do I pop?"

All the kids layed on this mat while air filled it so the kids could jump on it. Sofia hung in there until the white crease she was laying on practically folded her in half then she was done.

Walking on the balance beam

All the kids gathered around in a circle to sing a few songs. I was so proud of Sofia - she sat in the circle with the other kids by herself and listened to Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes. Sweet girl!!

Fun Friday

Mari, Paula and I decided to spend our last official Spring Break weekday getting a pedicure. Fun Fun Fun!!!

Mari and Paula and Brian (in the background). He was a great host and helped us pick between spa pedicure flavors: milk and honey (my choice), pomegranate (Mari's choice) and green/white tea (Paula's choice - kindly, chosen by Brian)
Paula's fun spring color (with flowers for that extra special springish touch!)
AHHHH - relaxed
~Louisiana~

Last Friday, we went on our very first out-of-state trip to Louisiana to see Steven's grandparents. We had not been there in quite some time so it was great to see them and they met Sofia for the very first time. It was a loooooooooooooong drive, but we had fun......

Sofia was a trooper the entire trip! During the drive, she would read books to her heart's desire and when it was time to nap, she would cover her face with her blanket.

Just Because....

For no reason, other than I wanted to use my new camera toy, here are some recent pictures and adventures of Sofia.

She has found the button to turn the TV on/off.

Reading a book

When Sofia has sinus issues, she creates this vibrating noise in her nasal sinus cavity. This is the face she makes when she is making her nose noises.

Nani came for a visit and to take care of Sofia for a few days last week. Thanks, Nani!

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!!

Sofia LOVES books! So, on Saturday, we thought it would be fun to take her to the nearest book store to pick out a new Dr. Seuss book to honor his birthday (March 2nd) and promote Read Across America Day (also March 2nd).

"You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams."

Dr. Seuss

"Today you are You, that is truer than true, there is no one alive who is Youer than You."

Dr. Seuss

"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."

Dr. Seuss

We didn't stay long due to the beginning of the never ending game of pulling the books out of the book holder and tossing them to the floor. I helped her choose "There's a Wocket in My Pocket" and then we were on our way.
