"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a hope and a future."

Maddie and Sofia enjoyed a Sunday afternoon in Fairyland........

both little fairies decided to eat the bread they brought for the ducks...

Bubbles Bubbles Everywhere!

Sometimes, Sofia runs away when she hears the water turn on for her bath......but all we have to say is "BUBBLES" and we hear her little feet coming running back.......

Project Runway - Here We Come!

When Nani was in town a couple of weeks ago, we embroidered/sewed a few little things for a friend who just had twins......

Sofia showed interest in this noise making gadget and she watched from Nani's lap AS LONG AS she kept her hands away from the needle..........

Fun Friday

With the afternoons a little cooler and tolerable, we enjoyed the delicious burgers at Central Market on Friday night. As we patiently waited for our dinner, we relaxed while listening to the band playing and watched Sofia keep busy on the playground while she kept tabs on the other children running around...... it was a wonderful night of family and fun and a great way to end the busy week.

Consequences

"No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest and rightousness and peace for those who have been trained by it" Hebrews 11:12

Well, last week, I received this text/picture from Mrs. Nikki.......

This was one of the two times she visited time-out for the day. One of them was for standing on the table (after several times and looking at Mrs. Nikki with the "look-what-I-can-do-even-though-I-shouldn't look) and the second time was for hitting..... which she does often. I am told this is a phase....she is about to hit her twos....becoming more independent.... realizing she has her own agenda....testing her boundaries.... and I agree. But, I also agree if consequences are not taught for unacceptable actions - even at an early age..... there will be harder habits to break and it will probably too be late to teach them.

I know "time-out" and "Sofia" have been two words in the same sentence, but I never had seen what it looked like at Mrs. Nikki's - but I am glad she sent it to me. It made me proud for two reasons. (1st)...I am proud that Sofia is learning about consequences, corrections and that she is learning how to follow them and (2nd)...I am proud that Mrs. Nikki loves her enough to help and support Steven and I in raising a little girl who will learn/know right from wrong, accept consequences and how important it is to respect authority at this young of an age.....because in all honesty, I really don't want to be on Supernanny in a few years.

Fun at the Park

Today was absolutely gorgeous!!! Fall season is in the air.....cooler temps, pumpkin spice frappaccinos/lattes and aisles and aisles of candy!

We decided to enjoy this beautiful day at the park/playground. Here are some snaps of our fun afternoon......

Sofia fell shortly before this picture and if she has anything on her hand from a fall, she wants you to wipe it off.

Reviewing the slide rules with Daddy.....

Not at all interested in riding this...

This was ALOT higher than it looked from the ground.....

When I realized it was a little more narrow... Sofia had to down first.....
She spent most of her time going up and down the stairs....

Then it was time to go home for bathtime and bed, however, one person out of our party of three did not like that decision......

Fun Fun Fun (other than the crying..)!!! We will be back soon!!!!
