In the Blink of an Eye.....

......Sofia turned 2.  I cannot believe how fast time flies!

The day before her birthday, I found myself reliving the memory at the hospital over and over and how excited we were with anticipation since we didn't know whether we would have a son or daughter.  It was the coldest day of the year that included an ice and snow storm and my doctor suggested I name her "Stormy"  :o)   I know there was nothing in the world that could of prepared us for the fun we have had the past two years and what waits for us in the future.

Sofia continues to amaze us with songs she sings, her sentences, her character, sassiness, the excitement in her eyes and all the expressions that come with anything that is uttered.  We are so blessed and grateful that she is ours.

The morning of... she enjoyed one of her favorite breakfast foods (blueberry waffle) then off to Mrs. Nikki's to celebrate with delicious cupcakes with her friends.

with her friends......she loves them so much!

It was such a beautiful day, we stayed outside and waited for Steven.  This is probably one of her favorite things to do......

Happy Birthday Sofia!  We XOXOXO love you!

COLD SNAP!

Only in Texas is the temperature almost 70 degrees one day and then a high of 35 degrees a couple of days later!  This past weekend we experienced a cold snap that will last throughout the week - tomorrow morning the wind chill will be 0 degrees!  BRRRRRR!

Along with the cold came very light snow.  It fell heavy for a short while but melted as soon as it touched the ground.  However, we couldn't wait to get out and run around in it :o)

catching snowflakes  :O)

Sofia is an outside person, but snowfall fun lasted about 5-7 minutes and then she was done..... so we unbundled ALL the clothes we had on and gathered our supplies to make......

SMORES!! MMMM!

Sofia snuck a marshmellow or two along with a piece of chocolate....

my turn......

your turn  :o)
