~ Sofia and Caroline ~

Last weekend, we got together with our friends, Dan, Paige and their sweet daughter, Caroline, who is two weeks younger than Sofia. They have a park near their home, so we packed the girls in the wagon along with their snacks and headed to it.

After a while, Sofia became really relaxed and actually closed her eyes wanting to fall asleep..

~ Our Official Day of Summer ~

We have had some *hot* days. So in order to cool off, Steven and Sofia dipped in the pool for some relief. Last year, "pool" and "fun" were not two words that Sofia would of used together. However, I think this is going to be a fun summer from the looks of things.....

~ Fun at Target ~

First of all, there is something wrong with my doo-hickey to connect my memory card to the computer so I can post new pictures - but I found something else for now :)

Steven is away on a business trip and so my mom and sis came in to spend time with me and Sofia. They took a little field trip to Target today and after much bribing she talked them into letting her out of the cart then "down" (Sofia's word) to walk on the floor. Here is her reaction to her accomplishment!

This afternoon, we enjoyed a relaxing and tasty dinner at Uncle Julio's. Sofia enjoyed the tortilla chips, milk and grilled cheese tortillas for dinner...... YUM!!

today was sofia's 15 month checkup.... 15 MONTHS - wow! here are the results....

*height: 31 1/2 inches

~ Happy Yellow Tutu ~ (and other random pics)

Sofia is an official walking machine! As much as I have loved her developmental stages (rolling and crawling), I couldn't wait for her to walk because she would be able to whirl and twirl in her tutus. Although we are far from whirling and twirling, I enjoyed her fun time while walking.

Her boots are still a little big, but she loves to hold them (she is LOVING shoes)

~ Cinco de Mayo ~

Feliz Cinco de Mayo! I am sad to say that I didn't even think about dressing Sofia in a cute Mexican dress, hat or play with colorful maracas to celebrate the occasion. However, these pics are just as sweet. Now that the afternoons are cool and calm, right after her bath, we take Sofia outside to sit on the bench and listen to the birds and airplanes. It's a time to sit and be still, listen and relax right before bed. She must of had a fun-filled busy day at Mrs. Nikki's because tonight when I said "It's time to say goodnight to outside", she started waving "bye" to everything. Sweet girl! - I love her so much ;)

May already?!! Where has the school year gone? Sofia turned 15 months on the 28th and she is busy busy busy and fun fun fun! Everyday she seems to understand more and more of what we tell her and she is pointing and identifying pictures in books and objects around her. I am looking forward to an exciting summer ;) I made chocolate covered strawberries this afternoon and Sofia couldn't resist giving them a try.

Very sticky and reading a book while I was getting her things together for her bath.
